I often hear men say, “I want to be a better version of myself.” And I get it. But I also wonder if this could go further…If the aim could be greater?
If I’m honest, the more I examine myself, the less I think that becoming a better version of myself is the ultimate goal. I don’t just want self-improvement. I really want transformation. I don’t just want to be more virtuous. I want to be completely renewed inwardly. I don’t just want to be more of myself…I want to become the man I was intended to be—shaped like Jesus.
The more I understand what this looks like, the more deeply I find I know Jesus. This is the aim of my growth.
What’s yours?
